Jeff grew up in Ohio, where he graduated from the Upper Arlington High School in 1970. Later, he went to college in Wooster, Ohio where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in Physical Education from the College of Wooster. In 1977, Jeff graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary. For the next year, he helped with church planting in Reston, Virginia.

In 1978, Jeff moved to Philadelphia where he worked as a staff counselor for 4 years at The Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF) in Laverock, Pennsylvania. Following his passion, Jeff formed “The Life Enrichment Christian Counseling Center “ (LECCC) from which he has been providing biblical counseling to thousands of individuals and couples throughout the Greater Philadelphia region (and beyond by remote).

Jeff has been a full time biblical counselor since 1978. That experience has made him extremely experienced in providing biblical, gospel centered counseling to thousands of people with a multitude of various difficulties and struggles. In addition to counseling, Jeff over the years has many times been requested to preach for Sunday morning services and provide retreats and seminars on various subjects. 

Jeff has been married for nearly 39 years to his wife, Donna Marie Stark, and together they have four children, Jeffrey, Allison, Jennifer and Elizabeth, and two grandchildren, Scout and Aries. They currently reside in Glenside, Pennsylvania. 

Jeff’s free time is spent taking nature walks with Donna and playing pranks on his children and grandchildren. He also remains active by doing triathlons, swimming, mountain/road biking, running, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeye football team, as well as the Philadelphia Phillies, Flyers and Eagles.
